Mailboxes

Delete a mailbox

What happens when you delete a hosted mailbox versus releasing a pre-warmed lease, and how billing treats the rest of the month.

Hosted mailboxes

Deleting a mailbox you provisioned on a domain you own removes the sender from EmailPal. That address should not keep sending from a sequencer — update or remove it there too.

Overage and warming for the period are not sliced to the hour. If you need the mailbox gone from reputation as well as from billing, delete it and stop SMTP in the same sitting.

Pre-warmed leases

Releasing a leased inbox is a different action. The 90-day minimum still applies. See Pre-warmed billing and the 90-day term.

FAQs

Does deleting the last mailbox on a domain delete the domain?

No. Remove the domain separately if you are done with it.

Can I undo a delete?

No. Provision a new mailbox. The old password will not come back.
